Drayson & Stock (formerly The Quiet Press), London

Setting up and running a design and letterpress studio. Working on a range of projects, including the design of a full set of icons for the Financial Times to use on the new, printing letterpress invitations for Intelligent Life Magazine, and the branding for a number of small companies. Designing and printing a range of letterpress printed products.

The Financial Times, London

Working across several streams within Product & Technology, including Acquisition and GPDR. Working closely with developers, product owners, the legal team and stakeholders to successfully meet a number of briefs. For GDPR I worked on a number of initiatives to help the FT become compliant while ensuring any new controls and pages required were concise and fully accessible.

Throughout my time at the FT I worked very closely with the Origami team to define and maintain a component library for use by both internal and external products, including and the Apps. Most recently, I was defining a new design system and exploring how we encourage more designers and developers to use the libraries, while also considering core experience and championing accessibility.

The Economist, London
Working as part of a cross functional team designing for the master brand including ‘The World If’ (both the 2015 and 2016 editions) and ‘Technology Quarterly’ sub brands, and its sister publication The World In. Working closely with other designers, UX and developers to iterate on design concepts to ensure fully responsive solutions to briefs set by both the Creative Digital Art Director and editorial were realised. Designing social media templates, working with the New York City office to ensure The Economist’s presence on ‘Facebook Instant Articles’ was on brand, and helping to create a more immersive experience for readers of The Economist’s ‘Essays’ and it’s other long form content.
